YARD RULES
The Yard and its equipment are a shared not-for-profit resource, enjoyed by a lot of fellow music-makers.
To keep it going we need to respect the law, each other, our landlord and our neighbours, and look after the room and the equipment. Please read and adhere to the rules below....
ESSENTIALS

-
No smoking inside or next to the building
-
Absolutely no illegal substances anywhere on the premises (including outside in the yard)
-
No under-18s unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
BE NICE
..to others in the building, other studio users and the Purple Noise team
Think about behaviour and language, especially when kids are around (a music school operates next door).
This includes any guests you bring.

Keep the door shut.
Be open to reducing sound levels for neighbours if asked, without spoiling your fun.
If other building users are disturbing your session, knock on their door and speak to them directly with a smile.
Don't block the car park or use others' spaces.
If you're blocked in or need a space, you can ask the car washers to make room, they're nice. If not, there is plenty of street parking next to the Yard.

Use the toilet with care and respect.
BE CAREFUL
..with the room, equipment and instruments!
Use only what's yours or what you have been shown how to use.
Call the team if you need help.

Don't overload speakers: keep bass and feedback under control.
If something breaks or fails, let the staff know.
Accidents and faults happen, but we need to know to fix it.
Eating and drinking (including alcohol) in the room is OK within reason:
Please be careful with liquids, clear up spillages, remove rubbish and consider how alcohol effects behaviour

WHEN YOU LEAVE
Turn all faders down and equipment off.
Put things back as you found them, including cables, connectors and equipment patching
Turn off the lights
Shut the windows
Shut the inside door properly

Take rubbish with you or use the bin in the downstairs kitchen
If you are the last one in the building when you leave, please let the team know.
